- Most common tumor of the pituitary gland
- May secrete hormones or cause mass effect
- Defined as microadenoma < 10 mm and macroadenoma ≥ 10 mm
- Subtypes (hormonal): Prolactinoma (PRL), corticotropinoma (ACTH), thyrotropinoma (TSH), somatotropinoma (GH), gonadotropinoma (LH/FSH), null cell, mixed
- System(s) affected: Endocrine; Neurologic; Skin; Immune; Cardiac; Musculoskeletal; Gastrointestinal
